We first enjoyed this salad dressing at a friend’s home and just had to get the recipe, now it’s one of our go to ways to brighten up a bowl of fresh vegetables!
Gather:
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
1 + 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
Salt
Optional:
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
Fresh minced garlic, onion, shallot, or garlic or onion powder
Process:
Combine olive oil, vinegar, and mustard with a dash of salt. Add optional ingredients to your taste. Enjoy over your favorite salad or as a dip for fresh bread!
We usually mix up this dressing in a Mason jar at the beginning of the week and leave it on the counter until it’s gone. The original recipe from the book French Kids Eat Everything recommends keeping it in the fridge. All credit to the author for the recipe.
